EDUCATIONAL  BROADCASTING  UNIT

The Educational Broadcasting Unit of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education is a well established specialist Educational Multi-Media Unit, which has grown from a television and radio production. It has the capacity to provide the services in Audio and Video production.
  The Broadcasting Unit in collaboration with GRTS draws a big audience aged between young and old in terms of Educational Programmes. We produce weekly programmes to educate both pupils and teachers. The learning resources focus simultaneously on children and teachers, it is educating and entertaining for children but useful to teachers. The material concentrates mainly on learners-whether in school or at home. Our programmes on DVD's are very educational, incorporating panel discussion, Music, Drama, Singing Competition and Documentary. These programmes help children and teachers apart from learning to read, write and arithmetic, it also develop and support key skill aural attention span, auditory memory and articulation, such as voice and vocabulary development so that they can express and communicate their thoughts, ideas and feelings.
