The Vision

The vision of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education is to provide universal access to education for all the children in the country. The education provided will be of a high quality and teachers will be properly trained through Gambia College or the University of The Gambia. Gambian children will be equipped with skills which will make them fully functioning members of society and able to contribute to the success and development of the country.

 It has been several years since the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education started sharing, with the general public, key policy documents with a view to creating a broad based participation in the delivery of educational services. This website aims to enable people to see what is happening within the Ministry and access documents as required. The website will be a useful addition to the TV and Radio programmes which aims to keep everyone informed about progress and projects.
